Bräunlingen city council decides to lease out sites
Since 2011, there has been a concentration zone for the use of wind energy in the city of Bräunlingen (Schwarzwald-Baar district), which is shown in the land use plan of the Donaueschingen administrative community. After LAOCO was able to sign lease contracts for parts of the site some time ago, the city council of Bräunlingen decided in its most recent meeting to lease the areas of the concentration zone owned by the city to LAOCO and project partner Energiequelle. This was preceded by a project presentation in the city council and numerous discussions with the administration, as well as a public information event moderated by Forum Energiedialog at the end of September. At this event, citizens were able to obtain first-hand information about the project and express their questions and concerns. Among other things, the event also addressed the issue of the maximum height of the turbines. In order to increase acceptance, LAOCO and Energiequelle made various promises, in particular a promise to reduce the legally permissible limits for shadow flicker to 0. In total, up to 5 wind turbines with a total height of 250 m are planned in the area. Together with the Waldhausen solar park, which is already in the planning stage and which has a capacity of approx. 15 MWp as well as a battery storage system, a modern energy park is to be created here, with lighthouse character far beyond the region and Baden-Württemberg. The energy park has a potential yield of approx. 70,000 MWh of electricity with a CO2 saving of approx. 44,100 tons - per year! Furthermore, synergies with other solar parks in the surrounding area, which are in planning, are to be used in the construction of the cable route in the form of a common cable route.
