Bräunlingen city council gives green light to enter into another PV project
In the city council meeting on 07 July 2022, the council body of the city of Bräunlingen (Schwarzwald-Baar district) decided by a large majority to conclude an urban development contract with LAOCO and project partner energiequelle GmbH as the basis for entering into a planning procedure for an utility scale photovoltaic plant in the district of Waldhausen on a planning area of approximately 14 ha. The PV plant with an expected capacity of 16 MWp, which will also include a large battery storage system, is located in the immediate vicinity of a planned wind farm, which is also being developed by LAOCO and energiequelle. For the city of Bräunlingen, it is the third solar park to be built on the municipal territory. With a planned electricity production of approximately 16,000 MWh annually, the plant will be able to supply more than 4,550 households.
